
Guillaume Vivier is graduated from Telecom Paris Tech (formely known as Ecole Nationale des Telecommunications), Paris, France and received his PhD degree from the University of Pierre and Marie Curie.
After 5 years in Alcatel in the design of satellite communication systems and modems for microwave communications, he joined Motorola in 1998 to contribute to the definition of Systems Beyond 3G. He led the “radio system optimization” group dealing with radio resource management and MAC design for next generation broadband wireless systems. Then, he spent half a year in China to launch a R&D center in this area.
In 2008, he joined Sequans Communications to drive Innovation into products. As such, he steered the development of the initial Sequans LTE chip, which participated to the China Mobile’s demonstration of TD-LTE during Shanghai World Expo in 2010.
